I hope you're all enjoying your Saturday! We're having a beautiful day here in Indiana! Today is also my hubby's birthday. We'll be going out to celebrate with our kids and my parents tonight. Before that, and icing the birthday cake, I wanted to post this week's Short & Sweet Saturday card.
I used the new stamp set called Healing Hugs. It's one of the new Dist"ink"tive stamp sets. These stamps are very detailed, and have many depths to them, as you can see in the flower and leaves I stamped. It looks like I must have used a technique on them or double-stamped, but all I did was ink them up and stamp once for each image! Beautiful!
I also added a Designer Series Paper (DSP) banner behind the greeting banner. I used the Nature's Poem DSP, and it's one of the DSP packs that are a part of the Buy 3, Get 1 Free DSP Sale. It coordinates with the Nature' Poem Suite of products, but as you can see, can be used with so many more stamp sets.
Dimensions:
- Rich Razzleberry: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (card base)
- Mint Macaron: 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" (base layer)
- Very Vanilla: 5" x 3-3/4" (main image)
- Sahara Sand: 1-1/2" x 3" (greeting banner)
- Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper (DSP): 2" x 3-1/2"
- Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack: 2" & 7" (Mint Macaron/Copper ribbon)
Instructions:
- Stamp the large flower stamp from the Healing Hugs Stamp Set onto the Very Vanilla piece 3 to 4 times using the Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the double-leaf stamp onto the flowers using the Mint Macaron Classic Stampin' Pad (see picture). Attach the piece to the center of the Mint Macaron piece. Fold the Rich Razzleberry piece in half (fold on top) to form the card base. Attach the Mint Macaron/image piece to the center of the card front.
- Punch one short end of the Sahara Sand piece by inserting it all the way into the Banner Triple Punch, using the middle guide in the punch. Stamp the "Get Well Soon" stamp onto the bottom part of the banner using the Rich Razzleberry ink pad. Wrap the 2" piece of ribbon around the top of the greeting banner, and attach the ribbon ends to the back.
- Punch one short end of the DSP piece the same as with the greeting banner, except use the widest guide in the punch. Attach the greeting banner to the DSP banner by lining the top edges together and centering the greeting banner sides within the DSP banner. Attach the banners to the right side of the card, lining the top edges of the banners with the main image piece. Tie the 7" piece of ribbon into a small bow, and attach it to the center of the attached ribbon using a Mini Glue Dot. Trim the ribbon ends at an angle.
- Attach around 4 sequins (pink and greenish ones) from the Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins onto the image layer of the card (see picture for placement).
Use SNAIL Adhesive when attaching, unless stated otherwise.
