Today's card is the Make & Take card at my Mystery Hostess Workshop on March 8. I always make sure that my workshop Make & Takes are easy and quick to make, and this one fits the bill. If you would like to have your own workshop in March, this can be one of the Make & Takes at your workshop if you like! Contact me soon before my calendar is filled up!
I CASEd this from a card in this month's Stampin' Success. It's a wonderful magazine that Stampin' Up! demonstrators get every month free. It's one of the many ways that Stampin' Up! supports and helps its demonstrators. I just love being a SU! demo! If you might be interested in becoming a demo, just let me know. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. You can also find out more HERE. This is a great time to sign up. The starter kit is 15% off, and a bonus bundle filled with over $50 in free products is also added to the kit! You'll have to hurry, though. You must be signed up by March 31! If you would like to sign up now, you can do so online. Just CLICK HERE, and then click "Join Now." I'd love to have you join my group!
I love the layout and colors SU! used, so I decided to CASE the card using the Sweet Summer SAB set (p. 8 in SAB brochure). I've been coloring the images in this set on the other cards I've made it, but I decided not to this time. I really like the look. Instead of stamping them in Basic Black and watercoloring them, I stamped them using different colors if ink. These flowers look so soft in person. The picture below doesn't do it justice. The colors look better in person, as well. I've been having trouble getting good lighting on all of my pictures lately. The texture on the Blushing Bride (pink) layer was done by running it through the Crimper (p. 198), and the greeting is from the Oval All set (p. 128).
Stamps: Sweet Summer (SAB) and Oval All
Ink: Always Artichoke, Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, & Elegant Eggplant Classic ink pads
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Always Artichoke, Blushing Bride, Elegant Eggplant, Sahara Sand & Naturals White card stock
Accessories: Blushing Bride 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon, Scallop Oval Punch, 1-3/4" x 7/8" Oval Punch, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Crimper, & Stampin' Dimensionals.
