I Want Spring!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I don't know about you, but I'm so ready for winter to be over. We're getting a lot of ice here in Central Indiana right now. The ice is beautiful, but it sure messes up the roads. Right now, it's kinda nice being stranded at home with my hubby and kids, but it may get boring later. We've gotten through round one of the ice storm with our electricity still on, but I don't think we'll fair as well with round 2. Round 1 gave us between 1/4"-1/2" of ice, and Round 2 is supposed to give us around another 1"! I've added some pictures of the ice from storm #1 below if you would like to see them.

With this bad winter weather, I just had to share a spring-looking card today. The colors on this card are cheery and bright. I used the Sale-A-Bration (SAB) set, Sweet Summer (p. 8). I really like this set. It's a lot of fun to play with. I embossed the front of the card with the Framed Tulips Impressions Folder (p. 12 in the Occasions Mini). I colored the images in with ink pads and a blender pen.

The bow is actually in pieces. I attached a strip of the ribbon across the bottom of the flower piece, attaching each end the back. I then took another piece of ribbon, and attached each end together to make a loop. I then took a piece of linen thread and tied it tight around the middle of the loop. Then I pulled the thread ends through the button holes and tied another knot on top. The bow tails are just two small strips attached underneath it all. Pretty easy!

Stamps: Sweet Summer (SAB)

Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Baja Breeze, & Natural White card stock
