Stampin’ Hot Foil System Live Replay + 2 Foiled Card Ideas

The Stampin’ Hot Foil System, along with the bundles and dies that work with it, became available to customers today, and I’m so excited!

This is such a fun new tool for paper crafting, and I think so many card makers are going to love the beautiful shine and detail it adds to handmade projects. If the Stampin’ Hot Foil System is on your wish list, I do recommend ordering it quickly because it will probably sell out super fast. Since it takes longer to make more of this new product, it will likely take longer to restock than our usual products.

The replay for my Stampin’ Hot Foil System Live is now available, and I’m so happy to be sharing both of the cards I made during the Live with you here on my blog. This was such a fun Live because I was able to teach how to use the new Stampin’ Hot Foil System and show just how pretty it looks on handmade cards. If you enjoy making cards, scrapbook pages (yes, it's acid free), bags, boxes, and other paper crafts, this is a tool that can really add something special to your projects.

If you weren’t able to join me live, the replay is still available to watch whenever it works best for you. That means you can watch at your own pace, pause when needed, and even go back to see a technique again. I always love that replays make it easy to learn on your own schedule, especially when you’re trying out a brand-new tool for the first time.

During the Live, I featured the Stampin’ Hot Foil System and shared how to use it, along with showing a couple of cards made with it. I talked about the basic process, shared helpful tips, and showed how hot foiling can add shine and a polished look to a card without making the design feel too complicated. Both cards from the Live show different ways to use the system, which makes it even more fun to see how versatile it can be.

The first card features the Botanical Glow Bundle, and it has a soft, elegant look with leafy branches foiled across the front in beautiful detail. I love the fresh green color palette paired with the gold foiling because it gives the card a pretty mix of warmth and shine. The lovely “thank you” greeting was made with the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies with silver foiling. It stands out nicely, along with ribbon and a few embellishments that finish it off so well. This card is a great example of how hot foiling can be the star of the design while still keeping the whole card simple and classy.

The inside of the first card is decorated, too, and I always think that makes a handmade card feel extra special. On this card, the leafy stamped image continues along the left side of the inside panel, which helps tie the whole card together so nicely. There’s still plenty of room left to write a personal message, but the inside definitely feels finished and coordinated with the front.

The second card features the Flourish & Frames Bundle. It has a fun and cheerful look with a sweet bee as the focal point. I used Pool Party & Pretty Peacock together with an added Basic Gray layer behind them, and the silver foiled details on the Pool Party & Very Vanilla label die-cuts help give the card an extra polished touch. The labels really frame the bee nicely, and the Gray Granite Variegated Trim across the card adds even more shine. I love the stamped border I was able to make around the Pool Party label and the stamped background behind the bee, which I made using stamps from the bundle. I also love the simple “thanks” greeting, from the Flowering Meadow Stamp Set, on this one because it works for so many occasions and keeps the focus on the cute bee image.

The inside of the second card is decorated with a small bee image in the lower corner, which is such a cute way to carry the theme from the front to the inside. It’s simple, but it adds just the right little detail. I really like doing this on cards because it makes the inside feel thoughtful and complete without taking away writing space.

I’ve Also Made Project Sheets for Both Cards Featured in the Live.

The project sheets include the outside and inside of each card, the paper sizes for each card, and the supply list for the two cards. They’re a great companion to the replay because you can watch the video and have the cutting measurements and supply details right there with you while you craft.
