Tuesday, December 31, 2024 to Get My December Thank You Gifts
I've been busy getting ready for Christmas this past week. Today, I've got everything done I can get done right now, and I thought I'd go to my office to get some work stuff done. I just realized I haven't posted any of the cards I made in my December Card Class @ Home! Well, I'm here to take care of that right now!
I knew I would need to make a non-Christmas set of cards, since the card kits won't be mailed out until the middle part of January. This new bundle jumped right out at me when I was deciding what to use this month. The Happy Hibiscus Bundle includes the Happy Hibiscus Stamp Set and the Happy Hibiscus Hybrid Embossing Folder. The Hybrid Embossing Folder not only includes the embossing folder, but it also includes dies that both work with the folder AND the stamp set. These stamp set & hybrid embossing folder can be purchased separately, but if you want both, you'll want to purchase the bundle which saves you 10%!
On my first card, I show how to use the two-step stamps in the stamp set. I stamped the outlines first, and then used the bolder stamps that color the outlines in. Then, I die-cut them out with their coordinating dies. The circle I used for the sentiment is also in the bundle's die set!
I did use the embossing folder from the bundle, too. It can be used with the dies, but this time I used it to only emboss the Crumb Cake base layer. Come back tomorrow to see the dies & the embossing folder used together.
I chose to use the Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper (DSP) for this card. I think the flowers in this paper coordinate so well with this bundle. You can find this DSP in the Wildly Flowering Suite from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog.
I always choose one embellishment to use on my Card Class @ Home cards, and for this class, I chose the Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels. If you earn my card kits (see above), I'll give you plenty of these pearls to make your cards.
I stamped the largest hibiscus from the stamp set onto the inside of my card as well. Since everything is done with the stamps, it's quick & easy to do.
I have a list of supplies you'll need to make the cards in the class (ink pads, adhesive, etc), and you can see it by CLICKING HERE. You can substitute with products you have on hand, too. You can see what comes in the class's card kits in the video above.
BEFORE YOU ORDER: Does your order (or wish list) come to $99 or more (before shipping & tax)? There is a way you can GET EVEN MORE for your $99, AND get all of your future Stampin' Up! goodies at a discount any time! CLICK HERE to Find Out How!
