One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop - Weather or Not

Welcome to the One Stamp At a Time Blog Hop! I'm so glad to have you here at Create With Christy! We blog hop every month, and this month, our theme is Weather or Not - Projects that reflect the weather where we live.

Well, here in Indiana, we've been having BEAUTIFUL & warm Spring weather for the last few days, and flowers are coming out everywhere. I decided to make a floral card with some new products from the upcoming 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.  I love being a demo, because we can get some of the new stuff early!

I'm using quite a few new products on my projects today. The one taking center stage is the Cheerful Daisies Bundle, along with it's coordinating Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper (DSP). This bundle & DSP are a part of the Fresh as a Daisy Suite, and it's definitely one of my favorites from the upcoming 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. The daisies in the bundle and the DSP are so gorgeous! There are a few ways you can make the flowers in the bundle, too.

I'm using another wonderful bundle from new annual catalog called Countryside Corners Bundle. The stamp set is actually one big stamp. Stamp it, and the dies in the bundle cut sections out of it. If you look at the white label in the middle, you can see what I mean. I die-cut one of the borders in the stamp out so it made a frame around the label I die-cut with the same die set. You can learn how I did it in my video above.

I'm featuring four new colors, too! One of the colors is from the updated Subtles Collection, and it's called Bubble Bath. It's the lighter pinkish layer. I also used three of the new 2023-2025 In Colors...Moody Mauve, Wild Wheat, & Copper Clay. All of these colors are in the DSP, and they look so pretty together! I'm really having fun using new color combos!

For the inside of my card, I partially stamped the largest daisy in the stamp set onto the bottom left corner of the Basic White layer. I also used the same colors as the large daisy on the outside of the card.

This is a little candy pouch I made to coordinate with my card. A little Ghirardelli candy bar fits perfectly inside of it. I made it with the Countryside Corners Dies, and it's really easy to do. I show you how to make it in my video above.

Dimensions (CS = Cardstock):
  • Moody Mauve CS:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Bubble Bath CS:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed base layer)
  • Basic White CS:  (2) 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" (label & frame)
    • (2) 4" x 5-1/4" (flowers & leaves and inside layer)
  • Fresh as a Daisy DSP:  1-1/2" x 5-1/4"
  • Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon:  7"

Dimensions:
  • Bubble Bath CS:  3-1/4" x 4-3/4" (pouch)
    • After die-cutting, and with a long edge along the top, score @ 2" & 2-1/2"
  • Basic White CS:  2-3/4" x 1-3/4" (flowers & leaves)
    • 1-3/4" x 1-1/4" (greeting)
  • Fresh as a Daisy DSP:  2-3/4" x 4-1/4"
  • Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon:  12"
