12 Weeks of Fall & Halloween 2022 - Week #1

Have you been wondering if I was going to do my 12 Weeks of Fall & Halloween this year? I'm a little late, but it's starting TODAY! To make sure the six Halloween projects are finished before Halloween, I'll be doing them the first six weeks, and the last six weeks will be Fall projects.

12 Weeks of Fall & Halloween Happening Every Friday Afternoon Until Nov. 11th!

My Halloween Window Treat Bag features the Scary Cute Bundle in the Stampin' Up! July - December 2022 Mini Catalog (Holiday Catalog). The only stamping I did with the Scary Cute stamp set in the bundle was the "BOO!". As you can see, I used a lot of the dies in the Scary Silhouettes Dies in the bundle.

Don't forget, when you purchase the bundle, you save 10% off the price of buying the stamp set & dies separately.

When I was coming up with this bag, I made the front window layer of the bag first. I put a piece of Window Sheet behind the die-cut to make it an enclosed window. It took some thinking to figure out how to make it work with a bag, but I did it!

The bag itself doesn't have a lot of color to it, so I just had to add some candy corn inside to add color. Of course, there are many other things you can add to the bag...Reese cups, a snack bag of Halloween M&Ms, etc.

The other way I added some color was by adding the Highland Heather glitter washi tape from the Glitter Washi Tape to the handle. You can find this washi tape in the same Holiday Catalog. It comes in a group of four rolls, and the colors are Pumpkin Pie, Black, Old Olive, & Highland Heather.

I also used patterned paper called Black & White Design Designer Series Paper (DSP). This is also in the Holiday Catalog, and it can be used all year around...not just for Halloween. I used the darker side of this design. The other side has the same stars, but the background is white, and the stars are black.

Here's the back of the bag. You can get a better look at the DSP I used, too.

Dimensions (CS = Cardstock):
  • Basic Black CS:  4-1/2" x 6"
    • With a 4-1/2" side along the top, score @ 1" & 3-1/2"
    • With a 6" side along the top, score @ 2-1/2" & 3-1/2"
  • Basic Black CS:  (2) 2-3/4" x 3-1/4" (front and back of bag)
    • 8-1/2" x 1/2" (bag handle)
  • Crushed Curry CS:  scrap piece ("BOO" piece)
  • Window Sheets:  2-3/4" x 3-1/4"
  • Black & White Design DSP:  (2) 3/4" x 2-1/4" (side layers)
    • 2-1/4" x 2-3/4" (back layer)
