Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We celebrated our oldest's birthday yesterday, and it was so much fun! Today is her actual birthday, and she officially turns 30 @ 5:44 p.m. ET) today! WOW! How can that be? I'm only 29! 😉 Of course, I made her a birthday card, and she loved it. I'll post it here very soon.
Now for today's card. I just got the Art In Bloom Bundle last week, and I couldn't wait to play with it. I made the flowers and leaves from our Vellum Cardstock. I didn't want to keep the vellum the white vellum, so I colored it. There are a few ways to color it, and I used one of them. I also heat & dry embossed the flowers.
You Can Learn How in My Video Tutorial Below
In the closeup of the flowers above, you can see that I both heat and dry embossed the flowers. I think doing both, and then coloring the vellum, gives it a more rustic-look. If you want a smoother look, don't dry emboss it.
The Art in Bloom Bundle is a special bundle, because it not only includes a stamp set and a die set, it includes a Hybrid Embossing Folder, too.
Don't know what a hybrid embossing folder is?
It's an embossing folder that allows you to dry emboss AND die-cut at the very same time! Isn't that cool? You can see how it works in my video below.
