A Beautiful, Quick & Easy Christmas Card

Are you looking for a quick & easy card? Want it to be beautiful, too? I think this may be the one you're looking for! The reason I say this is beautiful is because of that FLOWER! I think every card would look beautiful with this poinsettia! You can learn how I made this quick & easy card in my video below.

Everything I used on this card (minus the cardstock, Red Velvet Paper, ink pad, and adhesive) comes from the Poinsettia Place Suite in the Stampin' Up! August - December 2020 Mini Catalog. I actually used ALL of the products in this suite! I've bolded all of the items in the suite below. You can purchase the whole suite at once, or purchase each product separately. I'll include a link to the entire suite, and a link to each product in the suite separately, in the supply list below. For some reason, the supply list doesn't show up in an email feed. If you're reading this through an email feed, you'll need to go to the actual post to see the supply list.

As you can see, there's very little stamping on this one. The only thing I stamped was the "Merry Christmas" from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set in the August - December Mini Catalog. Such a pretty font! There's really not a lot of die-cutting, either. I only had to run paper through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine twice.

I'm so happy with how the poinsettia turned out. You can kind of see in the picture that this is a velvet poinsettia. It's so soft! The Red Velvet Paper is what makes it so soft. It's not part of the Poinsettia Place Suite, but it is in the August - December Mini Catalog. The poinsettia was made with the Poinsettia Dies, also in the mini. I was thrilled how well the velvet paper embossed, too! If you purchase the Poinsettia Petals Bundle, which includes both the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set & Poinsettia Dies, you'll save 10% versus buying them separately. The bundle price is what is included in the suite, too.

How about that flower center? It just tops it all off! It comes from the Beaded Pearls in this suite.

The poinsettia is not the only thing that's soft. The Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper across the bottom of the card is flocked, and just as soft as the velvet paper. This is just one of three designs in this beautiful paper. The flocking is on white vellum, too! The patterned paper along the top of the card comes from the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper (DSP). There are 6, double-sided designs in this 12" x 12" pack of paper, and you get 2 of each design.

Last, but not least, is the ribbon. It's the last of the five items in the Poinsettia Place Suite, and it's called Real Red 3/8" Sheer Ribbon. It's so elegant looking! I thought about tying a knotted piece on the right side, but changed my mind. I really like how it looks with just a strip going across the card.

Dimensions:
  • Real Red Cardstock (CS):  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (card base)
  • Whisper White CS:  5-1/4" x 4" (base layer) & 3-1/4" x 3/4" (greeting)
  • Red Velvet Paper:  6" x 3" (poinsettia)
  • Old Olive CS:  3" x 2-1/4" (leaves)
  • Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper:  5-1/4" x 2" (bottom of card)
  • Poinsettia Place DSP:  5-1/4" x 2" (top of card)
  • Real Red Sheer Ribbon:  7"
  • Beaded Pearls:  1 pearl embellishment
