Mini Catalog Sneak Peek - Poinsettia Place Suite

These are the projects I made in my Facebook/YouTube Live video earlier today. If you missed it, you can watch the video below.

I showcased the beautiful Poinsettia Place Suite, along with the Little Treats Box Dies...all from the Stampin' Up! August - December 2020 Mini Catalog. I actually used EVERYTHING in the Poinsettia Place Suite on these two projects! I have great news! You'll be able to start ordering from the new mini catalog beginning THIS Tuesday, August 4, 2020!

I got this layout from my upline Cheri Stojkovich. She challenged us to use one of her card templates, and this is what I came up with. This card showcases all of the colors in the color combo of the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper (DSP)...Real Red, Old Olive, Garden Green, Bumblebee, & Soft Suede. I love how this card template shows off the DSP!

The Real Red 3/8" Sheer Ribbon is so pretty in person. The pictures don't do it justice!

How do you like that beautiful poinsettia flower center? They're called Beaded Pearls, and you get 18 of them! I think this flower center really finished the card off perfectly!

I love that there are dies that die cut the poinsettia and leaves, but I REALLY love that there are embossing dies that put the veins in the them, too!

The label was made using one of the dies in the Little Treat Box Dies. It worked perfectly with the greeting stamp from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. This stamp set can be purchased with the Poinsettia Dies as a bundle. Purchasing the Poinsettia Petals Bundle, instead of purchasing them individually, saves you 10%

Dimensions:
  • Real Red Cardstock (CS):  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (card base) & 5-1/2" x 3" (poinsettia)
  • Bumblebee CS:  5-1/4" x 4" (embossed base layer)
  • Garden Green CS:  scraps (leaves)
  • Whisper White CS:  scraps (greeting label)
  • Poinsettia Place DSP:  (3) 1-1/2" x 3-3/4"
  • Real Red Sheer Ribbon:  7" (strip across card) & 5" (ribbon behind greeting label)

Here's the little treat bag I also made in the video below. The bag was made with the Little Treat Box Dies. The box itself is made with the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper. Now, all of the products from the Poinsettia Place Suite have been used!

The Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper is white vellum with white, flocked designs. It's so soft! There are three different, 12" x 12" designs in this paper pack, and there are two of each design. You can see all of the designs in the video below.

There are a few different poinsettia sizes in this suite, so you have a lot of versatility with them. I used the smallest poinsettia dies to make this beauty. I used the same label die I used on the card. I also heat embossed the greeting with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder. Note:  I said the label was made with Whisper White cardstock in the video, but I meant to say Shimmery White cardstock. I love the shimmer with the heat embossing!

The picture above shows the depth of the treat box a little better. This box is so cute!

The Beaded Pearls were too big for this little poinsettia, so I used three of the smallest pearls in the Pearl Basic Jewels from the Annual Catalog.

Here's what the treat box looks like from the back. I wanted to show you this so you can see the whole shape of the treat box, and to see more of that beautiful flocked paper.

Dimensions:
  • Real Red CS:  scraps (poinsettia)
  • Garden Green CS:  scraps (leaves)
  • Shimmery White CS:  scraps (greeting label)
  • Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper:  5-3/4" x 7-1/4" (treat box)
  • Real Red Shimmer Ribbon:  Enough to make a bow
  • Pearl Basic Jewels:  (3) small pearls
