At the end of the video below, I make this elegant-looking Christmas card. I REALLY like how this one turned out, and I LOVE how quick and easy it is to make, too! This would definitely make a great card to mass produce for your Christmas cards this year!
I used four new products from the upcoming mini catalog. First, the stamp set. I used the new For Unto Us Stamp Set. The greetings in this stamp set are wonderful! I sell most of my stamp sets when they retire, but I'll be keeping this one! I really like to make Christian Christmas cards, and this set is wonderful for this.
The second new mini catalog product I used is the GORGEOUS Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder. Isn't it beautiful? I'm positive I'll be using this folder A LOT!
What did I emboss with it? The new Brushed Metallic Cardstock in the mini catalog. If you look closely, you can see the "brushed" texture to the foil-like cardstock. This cardstock pack has three different metallic colors...gold, copper, and the one I used here, bronze. It comes in 12" x 12" sheets, and the pack includes 2 of each metallic color. I got this cardstock in my first preorder.
I used a die set that we've had for awhile, Stitched Shapes Dies. If you don't own them yet, you can find this die set in the Annual Catalog. Believe me, these dies are a must!
I also used the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder on the Very Vanilla base layer from the annual catalog. You can see the embossing better in the picture below.
The last new mini catalog product I used is the ribbon. It comes from the new Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack. The pack includes this beautiful, Shaded Spruce ribbon and gold cord. This Shaded Spruce ribbon is so elegant and beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice. I think the video might show it off a little better.
It's a little hard to tell in the picture above, but I embossed the bottom of the inside layer of the card with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder. You have to be careful when you emboss it across the bottom of the cardstock, and you can learn how to do it in the video below. The greeting is also a stamp from the For Unto Us Stamp Set. I didn't add the greeting in the video below, but added it later. That's another reason I love this stamp set...there are stamps for the outside AND inside of cards.
