Power of Hope Cherry Blossoms Card

This is the first card I've been able to make with the Power of Hope Bundle from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog (first release). I've used the Stone 3D Embossing Folder that comes in the bundle, but not the Power of Hope Stamp Set. I'm REALLY happy with how this card turned out. You can learn how to make the card by watching the video below.

The only way you can get this bundle is to place a $100 order (before shipping & tax) by March 31, 2020, and then choose it as your FREE Sale-A-Bration item. Hurry, though! This bundle is also WHILE SUPPLIES LAST, so it could sell out BEFORE March 31!

I'm happy with the color combo I used. It's Poppy Parade, Smoky Slate, Old Olive, & Soft Suede. I think it works great with this bundle. I didn't used to use Poppy Parade that much, but I've been using it A LOT here lately.

I used Stampin' Blends to color in the images. For some reason, the shading shows a lot darker in the pictures than what it does in real life. The shading actually blends in with the lighter shades very nicely.

I REALLY love how the cherry blossoms turned out! I think they're what make the card look so good. I used a die-set that's been around for awhile. It's in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, and it's called Seasonal Layers Dies. As the title says, it contains dies that cover ALL of the seasons!

I'm so glad I decided to make this a window card. I like how the lady stands outside of the window, too. It's a pretty neat effect.

I've been decorating the insides of my cards a lot lately. I think it gives the card a better "finished" look. I believe I'll be doing it on most of my cards now, if not all. How do you like that tree? It's also in the Power of Hope stamp set.

Dimensions:
  • Poppy Parade:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Smoky Slate:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer)
  • Basic Black:  4-3/4" x 1-1/2" (branch)
  • Whisper White:  3-3/4" x 3-3/4" (gazebo layer), 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" (lady), 2-1/2" x 3/4" (greeting), 3-1/2" x 3" (flowers), & 4" x 5-1/4" (inside)
