Here's this week's Short & Sweet Saturday (S&SS) card. As I'm typing this, our middle "kid" is finishing up packing up her room. I'm typing this Friday night, and tomorrow (Saturday), we'll be helping her move into her first apartment. She's the first of our three "kids" to move out. My hubby and I will probably be empty-nesters within the next couple years. Boy, time sure flies by fast!
Well, back to the card. I used the new Sure Do Love You Bundle from the Occasions Catalog to make this card. There was more I could have added to it, but my S&SS cards are supposed to be quick and easy to make. Take a look at that Designer Series Paper! I love the splash of gold in the paper. It's called Painted With Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, and it's also in the Occasions Catalog. The ribbon I used is from the Shimmer Ribbon Pack in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. You can get it free by placing a $50 order (before shipping & tax) by March 31, 2018. I really love the shimmer in this ribbon!
Dimensions:
- Rich Razzleberry: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base) & 3" x 3-3/4" (image mat)
- Powder Pink: 4" x 5-1/4" (base layer)
- Whisper White: 2-3/4" x 3-1/2" (main image) & 4" x 3-1/2" (hearts and banner))
- Painted With Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP): 4" x 2"
- Shimmer Ribbon Pack: 6" (Calypso Coral ribbon)
Instructions:
- Attach the DSP piece across the top of the Powder Pink piece. Wrap the Calypso Coral Shimmer Ribbon around the bottom of the DSP, and attach the ribbon ends to the back of the Powder Pink piece. Fold the Rich Razzleberry card base piece in half (fold on the left). Attach the Powder Pink piece to the card base.
- Stamp the heart-shaped vine border stamp from the Sure Do Love You Stamp Set onto the center of the Whisper White main image piece using the Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Pad. Attach the piece to the center of the last Rich Razzleberry piece, then attach it to the center of the card.
- Stamp the largest heart stamp onto the last Whisper White piece using the Powder Pink Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the banner stamp onto the same piece using the Melon Mambo Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the "Be Mine" heart stamp onto the same piece using the Rich Razzleberry ink pad. Die-cut them out with their coordinating dies from the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies.
- Attach the banner across the center of the large heart. Attach the top part of the "Be Mine" heart to the right side of the banner. Attach the whole thing into the center of the heart-shaped vine border using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Attach everything with SNAIL Adhesive, unless stated otherwise.
