It's Saturday, and that means Short & Sweet Saturday (S&SS) time. I need to apologize, once again, for not doing a S&SS card last week. This being sick since Christmas Eve has really gotten me behind. I'm pretty much back to normal, except for a little sinus drainage that won't go away, so I think I'm close to being back on track.
I used the Beautiful Peacock Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set again, but this time used the cute Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes from the Occasions Catalog with it. Remember, you can get the Beautiful Peacock set FREE with a $50 order (before shipping & tax) until March 31, 2018.
This is the first card I've made with these narrow note cards, and I really like how it turned out. This size is too small to mail, but you can put it inside of a regular envelope if you do want to mail it. It's also works great to attach to a gift. How do you like the lining in the envelope? Brian King, a fellow SU! Demonstrator, figured out that you can punch a circle out of Designer Series Paper using the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. Attach it to the flap, and the top of the inside of the envelope. Then, fold the flap down to put the crease in the DSP. Genius!
Dimensions:
- Narrow Note Card & Envelopes - 1
- Whisper White: 2-3/4" x 2-3/4"
- Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP): 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" (card) & scraps (envelope liner)
- Basics Pack 2 Washi Tape: 2-1/2" strip (Daffodil Delight tape)
Instructions:
- Attach the DSP strip onto the left side of the Narrow Note Card. Attach the Basics Pack 2 Washi Tape along the right edge of the DSP. Stamp the "Beautiful Friend" stamp from the Beautiful Peacock Stamp Set onto the bottom, right corner of the card using the Marina Mist Classic Stampin Pad.
- With the note card folded, stamp the long swirl stamp onto the right side of the note card two times using the Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the second, largest flower stamp around the swirls using the Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the smallest flower stamp around the swirls, too, using the Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad (see picture for placement).
- Stamp the scallop-like peacock feathers stamp onto the center of the Whisper White piece using the Old Olive ink pad. Stamp the peacock stamp into the opening of the feathers using the Marina Mist ink pad. Die-cut the peacock out with the second, largest square die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. Attach the square to the left side of the note card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Punch a circle out of the scraps of DSP using the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. Attach the circle to the inside of the envelope by centering the top edges of the circle inside the edges of the envelope flap. Fold the flap down to put the crease into the DSP circle.
Attach everything using SNAIL Adhesive, unless stated otherwise.
