The FIRST CARD I made for this class has flowers made with only the dies in the Impressions Abloom Bundle. On today's card, I made the flowers with the stamps only. This is a two-step stamp set, meaning there are two stamps for each flower, flower center, & leaf images in the set. I love being able to have two layers for these images to get more detail. If you've never used two-step stamps before, make sure to go to the "Making the Second Card" chapter of the video above to see how I did it, and get some tips, too.
I did use the dies in the bundle to make the Basic White oval & the Strawberry Slush oval frame. The die that makes the frame also makes an oval, and it's a tad smaller than the other oval die I used to make the white oval here.
I tried to make my stamped flowers look similar to the ones in the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper (DSP) design I used. I think Stampin' Up! is the best at making coordinating products!
The bundle and DSP are part of the Floral Impressions Suite. This suite also includes the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder, and I used it on this card, too. After I embossed the Basic White base layer, I brushed Strawberry Slush ink over the embossed part using a Blending Brush. You can see how I did it in the video above.
I once again used the Strawberry Slush & Pretty In Pink Gems from the same suite. This time, I used one large & two small Strawberry Slush gems, and I placed them around the sentiment.
The Free Card Kits for This Class Include Enough
of the Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems to Make the Cards
Normally, I would have just stamped one flower onto the inside of my card, but I loved the way the flowers looked on the outside of the card so much that I decided to do the same thing on the inside.
I have a list of supplies you'll need to make the cards in the class (ink pads, adhesive, etc), and you can see it by CLICKING HERE. You can substitute with products you have on hand, too. You can see what comes in the class's card kits in the video above.
