Here's the first card I made in the video above. Someone that watched my premiere video above mentioned that this card reminds her of Colonial Williamsburg. I think she's right. The color combo definitely does, and I think the house does, too.
Do you recognize the DSP I used? It's from the retired Rings of Love DSP that was available during Sale-A-Bration last summer. I earned a few packs free then, and I wanted to use some of it on this Card Class @ Home cards. This DSP is gorgeous, and works so well with this bundle. Don't worry, I have plenty of this DSP for the card kits in this class!
I absolutely love the Hybrid Embossing Folder in this bundle. Actually, I love all of the Hybrid Embossing Folders we've had. Whenever you see "Hybrid Embossing Folder", it means you get both the embossing folder and dies that coordinate with it. The embossed tree ring the house is on was die-cut and embossed at the same time, and you can learn how it was done in the video above. The Soft Suede base layer shows how the hybrid folder can be used for just embossing, too.
Of course, I had to coordinate the inside of the card with the outside. I stamped another house inside the card to match the one on the front.
I kept the ink pads I used on the three cards down to 7. If you missed seeing the list of the supplies I used that aren't a part of supplies offered in the Free Card Class @ Home, you can see them by CLICKING HERE. You can see what actually comes in the class's card supplies in the video above.
