12 Weeks of Fall & Halloween 2022 - Week #2

It's time for another 12 Weeks of Fall & Halloween project. This week, I made a little Halloween treat box using the Design a Treat Bundle from the July - December 2022 Mini Catalog (Holiday Mini). It's the bat boxes you see above. As you can see, I made two other boxes with the bundle, too.

You Can Learn How to Make It in my Video:

When I started making this box, I realized that once the bat was glued onto the top, it was impossible to open the box without tearing it up. I changed it up a bit, and now it's easy to open and close, and the box stays intact.

Learn How to Make It Easy to Open These Boxes in my Video Above.

I made the bat's eyes with 2 small white dots from the Classic Matte Dots in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. I thought they worked perfectly. They really bring the bat to life.

Good News! The Classic Matte Dots Are One of the September Weekly Deals This Week!
This Week's Deals Will End @ 11:50 pm (MT) on Wednesday, September 7th.

If You Order, Don't Forget To Use My September Host Code 6TMT6KR7!

When you use my Host Code on orders under $150 (before shipping & tax), you'll get at least one of my Thank You Gifts listed above. If your order is $150 or more (before shipping & tax), do NOT use the host code. You'll still get my Thank You Gifts AND you'll also get Stampin' Rewards from Stampin' Up! Click on the picture above to find out more about how my Thank You Gifts work.

Speaking of Stampin' Rewards, the patterned paper I used on my bat treat box comes from the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the Holiday Mini. It's a Host exclusive DSP, and the only way you can get it is by hosting a workshop or placing at least a $150 order (before shipping & tax). When you do, you use your Stampin' Rewards to get it. It's a BIG pack of DSP, too! It includes (48) 12" x 12", double-sided sheets. There are 12 designs, and you get four of each design.

The design I used on my Halloween one is actually black and white, except for a few Crushed Curry stars. I decided to color in the pumpkins and the white stars for my box, because I wanted more color.

My Christmas present box was also made with the Celebrate Everything DSP. The bow was made with the white glimmer paper in the Real Red & White Glimmer Paper in the Sweetest Christmas Suite in the Holiday Mini. The box itself is made with Poppy Parade Cardstock. The greeting and label come from the Design a Treat Stamp Set in the bundle.

My deer treat box also used the stamp set, along with the dies. The box and ears were made with Crumb Cake Cardstock, and the antlers were made with Early Espresso Cardstock. There are so many different boxes you can make with this bundle. Mine are just a small sampling of what you can make!

Dimensions (CS = Cardstock):
  • Crushed Curry CS:  5-1/2" x 4-3/4"
  • Basic Black CS:  3-3/4" x 2-1/2"
  • Celebrate Everything DSP:  (2) 1-1/4" x 1"
    • (2) 1" x 1"
  • Classic Matte Dots:  2 small white dots
