Peony Garden Suite Friend Card

This was the suite that really stood out to me when I first saw the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. The Peony Garden Suite is so GORGEOUS! I actually used all 6 of the products in the suite on this card. I didn't even try to do that. That shows how well they coordinate together!

If you want to learn how I made this card, you can learn how in my Stamp With Me video below.

Isn't that flower beautiful? It comes from the Prized Peony Bundle that is in the suite. The bundle includes the Prized Peony Stamp Set and the Peony Dies. Purchasing them together as a bundle, versus buying them individually, saves you 10%. The Peony Dies have some dies that make a 3D peony. I can't wait to make something with them!

Do you see that fancy vellum on the top, left corner of the card? I did that with the new Square Vellum Doilies that are also in this suite. I show how to cut it into a perfect triangle in the video below.

Notice that beautiful embossing on the Petal Pink layer? I did it with the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder from the suite.

I thought the doily edge needed something, so I wrapped the shiny Gray Granite 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon across the bottom of it. See how it matches the card base perfectly?

I also thought the top, left corner of the stitched rectangle layer needed something, so I added one of the large Petal Pink gems in the Elegant Faceted Gems. That little gem really makes the card look even more special. Yes, they're also in the Peony Garden Suite.

I really love the detail in this peony stamp. It makes it so easy to color with our Stampin' Blends. Stampin' Up! let us know where we need to use the dark blends with the detail in the stamp, and then color the rest with the light blends. I show you exactly how in the video below.

How about that scallop edge? It was made with one of the Peony Dies. The picture doesn't do it justice. The dry embossing along the scallop edge is wonderful! Make sure to watch the video to find out how easy it is to figure out where to place the border die.

I attached a piece of the beautiful Peony Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) on the inside of the card. This is the edge that still shows when the card is closed. Would you like to see all of the designs in this DSP? CLICK HERE to see me show it off in my unboxing video. The link will take you directly to where I show the paper. If you want to see everything I got in the unboxing video, you can rewind it when you get there. 😊
