Stamp With Me - Ornate Garden Suite Wedding Card

I know we're all excited about the new Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog (I sure am), and I'm so glad that Stampin' Up! gave all of us a chance to get the beautiful Ornate Garden Suite products early! This suite is GORGEOUS! Every card I've made with it looks so beautiful!

I used three of the products in this suite...Ornate Style Stamp Set, Ornate Borders Dies, and the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. You can see everything in the Ornate Garden Suite by CLICKING HERE.

I decided to use a much softer color combo for today's card. I'm going to have to remember this color combo. I really like how they go together.

I used a different greeting stamp set on this Ornate Garden card, so I could make it a wedding card. I used the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set from the current annual catalog. There are so many greetings in this set, and you can see all of them in the video below. I'm so glad that this stamp set will be in the new annual catalog, too!

Vanilla/cream-colored wedding cards are very popular right now, and you can see why with this card. I love the Very Vanilla card base, embossed layer, and rose border die-cut together. They're so elegant looking!

How did I get the white outline? I heat-embossed the image with White Stampin' Emboss Powder! I stamped the image on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, because I knew I was going to watercolor with my Aqua Painters. This paper makes it so easy to get some dark shading in, and blend the shading with the lighter shades. I show how to do this all in the video below.

I added one last "vanilla" item to this card. See the pearls? Don't they look so pretty on that rose border die-cut? The pearls come from the Pearls Basic Jewels.

Of course, I had to decorate the inside of this beautiful card. It's just too special not to decorate the inside. I did a simple border with one of the flower stamps in the Ornate Style Stamp Set.

Dimensions:
  • Thick Very Vanilla:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2"
  • Very Vanilla:  (2) 4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer & inside of card), 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" (rose border), & 2-1/4" x 1" (greeting)
  • Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper:  3-1/4" x 4-3/4"
If you are reading this post in an email feed, you'll need to go to the original post to see the supply list.
Note:  Aqua Painters have sold out, but don't worry! We'll have Water Painters in the New Annual Catalog on June 3, 2020. They'll have three different tips (instead of 2), and they'll only be $12 ($5 less than Aqua Painters)!

  1. Gorgeous DSP and colours, Christy. Especially love the detail of the rose border die-cut over the embossing folder.

    1. Thank you so much, Kylie! I'm so glad you like it. I wasn't sure if that rose border would show up on the embossed layer at first, but I'm so glad I tried it.
