It feels so good to be back to blogging again. I've really missed it! Today, I'm sharing a card that showcases the beautiful Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the stamp set/punch bundle it coordinates with, Floral Essence.
Isn't that DSP layer gorgeous? This is a simple and easy card, but that paper makes it look so elegant. You don't need much to make a gorgeous card when you've got this DSP!
How about that pretty flower and flower center? The flower was made with the coordinating Perennial Essence Vellum. All of these "coordinating" products come from one suite called, Perennial Essence Suite. I love our suites. New this year...Stampin' Up! has made an "easy" button for us. If you want to purchase everything in the suite, you can with just one order #. The suites, one-stop-shopping, order numbers include the stamp set/die or punch bundle price at 10% off, too!
I did borrow from another suite for the flower center. I wanted it to match the Copper Foil Sheet I matted the DSP with, so I used the Designer Elements from the Pressed Petals Suite. There are silver, gold, and copper elements in the pack, and I used a copper one.
Dimensions:
- So Saffron Cardstock (CS): 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
- Blackberry Bliss CS: 4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer)
- Whisper White CS: 3-1/2" x 3/4" (greeting)
- Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (DSP): 3" x 4"
- Copper Foil Sheets: 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" (DSP mat)
- Perennial Essence Vellum: 4" x 2" (So Saffron) & 2" x 2" (Old Olive)
- Designer Elements: (1) Copper Embellishment
Instructions:
- Stamp the 3-petal flower stamp from the Floral Essence Stamp Set onto the So Saffron Vellum piece two times, using the So Saffron Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the 3-petal flower stamp onto the Old Olive Vellum piece once, using the Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad. Set aside to let the ink dry.
- Emboss the Blackberry Bliss layer with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. Fold the So Saffron piece in half to form the card base (fold on the left). Attach the embossed layer to the center of the card front.
- Attach the DSP piece onto the center of the Copper Foil Sheet. Attach it to the center of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Stamp the "Wishing you a..." stamp onto the Whisper White piece using the Blackberry Bliss Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp it a little right of center. Cut the right end of the piece at an angle with Paper Snips. Attach it to the bottom, right half of the DSP layer.
- Check the vellum flowers to see if the ink is dry. If it isn't, you can dry it with the heat tool (on low setting). Once the ink is dry, punch the flowers out with the Perennial Flower Punch. Put a couple Mini Glue Dots onto the flower center of one of the So Saffron flowers, and attach the other flower onto it, alternating the petals. Cut the Old Olive flower petals apart to form three "leaves". Put a Mini Glue Dot onto the end of each leaf (on stamped side), and attach them to the back of the flower (see picture for placement).
- Attach the flower to the left end of the greeting layer with Mini Glue Dots. Attach a copper embellishment from the Designer Elements to the center of the flower.
Use SNAIL Adhesive or Multipurpose Liquid Glue when attaching, unless stated otherwise.
