Short & Sweet Saturday - Peaceful Carols of Christmas

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make a card today, but thankfully I did! Here's this week's Short & Sweet Saturday Card. I was totally surprised when the Carols of Christmas Stamp Set, and it's coordinating dies, Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies, were on the retiring list! I've had so much fun with this bundle, and I really hate to see it go! I just had to make at least one more card with it, and this one is super quick and easy! I wish you could see this card in person. The trees are so glittery! It's hard to tell in the pictures.

If you would like to see everything else that's retiring from the Holiday Catalog, along with a few things from the annual catalog that's on sale, CLICK HERE. They're only available until January 2, or while supplies last. Whichever come first.

Dimensions:
  • Thick Whisper White:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Whisper White:  3-3/4" x 5" (base layer) & scraps
  • Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP):  4" x 5-1/4"
Instructions:
  1. Stamp the "Peace on Earth" stamp from the Carols of Christmas Stamp Set onto the bottom, center of the Whisper White base layer using the Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad. Ink the holly stamp with the Old Olive marker on the leaves and the Real Red marker on the berries, from the Old Olive & Real Red Stampin' Write Markers. Stamp it onto the bottom, left of the greeting. Stamp another holly the same way onto the bottom, right of the greeting.
  2. Lay the single tree die from the Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies onto the top, left corner of the piece. Lay the double-tree die next to it (on the right). Run it through the Big Shot. Take the dies off, and keep the die-cut trees for later. Attach the whole thing to the center of the Merry Little Christmas DSP. Fold the Thick Whisper White piece in half (fold on the left) to form the card base. Attach the DSP/base layer onto the card base.
  3. Color all over the the two tree die-cuts with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. Attach the double-tree die-cut onto the left side of the card, a little lower than the single tree opening (see picture). Attach the single-tree die-cut to the right side of the double-trees using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Stamp the deer stamp onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad. Die-cut the deer out with the deer die, and attach it to the right of the glittery trees using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (see picture).
  4. Put two Mini Glue Dots onto the back of a gold star embellishment from the Year of Cheer Embellishments, and attach it to the top, left of the card (see picture).
Note:  Attach everything with SNAIL Adhesive, unless told otherwise.

Note:  All of the products marked with an "*" are retiring, will only be available until January 2, 2018, or while supplies last...whichever comes first.
