Short & Sweet Saturday - Merry Patterns Host Set

It's time for this week's Short & Sweet Saturday Card!

First off, I want to let all of you in Florida, and the other states in Hurricane Irma's path, that you are all in my prayers. I have family and friends in Florida and South Carolina that will be affected...even family and friends in Ft Myers and the Tampa area. Praying for safety for you all!

Now back to the card. I'm using the Merry Patterns Stamp Set. It's the host set that Stampin' Up! hosts get with a qualifying workshop order...that's in addition to the regular Stampin' Rewards they normally earn...during September & October. To find out more about this wonderful deal, and find out the ways you can earn it, CLICK HERE.

I'm also using the beautiful Vintage Crochet Trim. Don't forget!!! You get this crochet trim FREE with a qualifying online order from me! This offer is exclusively from me. To find out how you can get it FREE, CLICK HERE.

Dimensions:
  • Old Olive:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (card base) & 4" x 3" (scallop oval)
  • Cherry Cobbler:  5-1/4" x 4" (embossed layer)
  • Whisper White:  4" x 3" (main image)
  • Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP):  5-1/4" x 2"
  • Vintage Crochet Trim:  (2) 7"

Instructions:
  1. Fold the Old Olive card base piece in half (fold should be on the top). Emboss the Cherry Cobbler piece by running it through the Big Shot using the Holly Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Lightly brush a Sponge Dauber with Cherry Cobbler ink across the DSP piece. Attach it across the bottom of the embossed piece. Wrap one of the Vintage Crochet Trim pieces around the top of the DSP, and attach the trim ends to the back of the embossed piece. Attach the whole thing to the card base.
  2. Die-cut an oval out of the Whisper White piece using the largest oval die from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. Stamp the candles outline stamp from the Merry Patterns Stamp Set onto the top center of the oval using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Starting with the second outline candle from the left, stamp the full, patterned candles trio stamp onto inside of three of the candles using the Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the rest of the candles with the partial, patterned candles trio stamp using the Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the flames stamp into the candle flames using the Crushed Curry Classic Stampin' Pad. Brush the flames with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to make them sparkle. Stamp the "Merry Christmas" stamp under the candles using the Memento Pad.
  3. Die-cut a scallop oval out using the largest scallop oval die from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. Attach the candles oval to the center of the scallop oval, and then attach it all to the center of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  4. Tie the last Vintage Crochet Trim piece into a small bow. Attach it to the left end of the candle oval using a Mini Glue Dot. Put five small rhinestones from the Rhinestone Basic Jewels randomly onto the card.
