Short & Sweet Saturday - Swirly Bird

This week's Short & Sweet Saturday card features the fun stamp set, Swirly Bird and the greeting stamp set, Designer Tin of Cards. Don't you just love the font? I can't believe how fast this card came together. It's definitely one that can be made many times in no time!

All of my Short & Sweet Saturday (S&SS) cards are quick and easy to make, so they're perfect if you need to make a card last minute. I always include complete instructions on how to make my Short & Sweet cards, too.

Card Instructions:
  1. Fold a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of Peekaboo Peach Cardstock in half to form the card base. Attach a 5-1/2" x 2"' piece of multi-color brick paper from the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack to the bottom half of the card base. It should be about a 1/4" above the bottom edge of the card base.
  2. Stamp the "Celebrate your day" stamp from the Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set onto the upper, right corner of a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad.
  3. Using the Swirly Bird Stamp Set, stamp the swirly flowers and leaves onto bottom and left-side of the Very Vanilla Cardstock. The large swirly flower stamp is stamped with the Peekaboo Peach Classic Stampin' Pad, the medium-sized swirly flower stamp is stamped with the Blushing Bride Classic Stampin' Pad, the small swirly flower stamp is stamped with the Sweet Sugarplum Classic Stampin' Pad, and both leaf stamps are stamped with the Emerald Envy Classic Stampin' Pad. See pictures for placement of flowers and leaves.
  4. Attach the stamped piece to the center of a 4-3/8" x 3-1/8" piece of Basic Black Cardstock, and then attach it to the center of the card base.
