Today's card is one I made a few weeks ago when I got my new toys. The stamp set is a new hostess-only set called Simply Sketched. It's got three beautiful image stamps and three greeting stamps. If you like this stamps set, you'll need to have a workshop! I would love to do a workshop for you if you live relatively close to me. You can get it by placing at least a $150 order (before shipping & tax) yourself, or have a catalog party. You can even have an online order party! You can do an online or catalog with me as long as you live in the United States. If you're interested, please contact me by clicking the "Email Me" icon in the right column of this blog. If you do any of these four things to qualify for hostess benefits, I'll also send you the new 2013-2014 Annual Catalog FREE!
Just about everything I used on this card is from the new catalog. The colors I used are new In Colors, and they'll be around for 2 years. The card base is made with Crisp Cantaloupe card stock. The brownish card stock is called Baked Brown Sugar, and the bluish card stock is called Coastal Cabana. I think they look really good together. I used the new In Color Pistachio Pudding ink to watercolor the stems of the flowers. The flowers were watercolored with Crisp Cantaloupe ink, and the "sky" was watercolored with Coastal Cabana ink. The greeting was stamped in Baked Brown Sugar ink.
The Coastal Cabana layer was embossed with the new Modern Mosaic Impressions Folder. The vanilla button is from the new button pack, Very Vintage Designer Buttons. See the little flower on the button? I made it with the new Simply Press Clay and Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds. The clay is white, and I dyed it with my Crisp Cantaloupe ink pad. I just rubbed a little piece of clay onto the ink pad, and kneaded the ink into it. I kept kneading more ink into it until the whole piece was dyed. Then, I pressed the clay into the smallest flower in the mold. I popped it out of the mold and let it dry over night. The clay never gets hard, but it does keep it's molded form once it's dry. Once it was dry, I attached it to the button with Crystal Effects. I love being able to make my own embellishments and making them the colors I want!
