Swallowtail Anniversary Card

Happy Friday, everyone!  Today's card was one of the cards made at my Hello, Spring camp I had a couple weeks ago.  I stamped the Swallowtail stamp (p. 18 in Spring Catalog) at an angle onto a piece of Whisper White card stock in VersaMark ink (p. 159).  I heat embossed it with White Stampin' Emboss Powder (p. 159), and sponged Pool Party ink all over the butterfly with a Sponge Dauber (p. 179).  Make sure to put Pool Party ink along the outside edges of the butterfly, too.  After applying the ink, wipe the embossed part of the butterfly with a tissue to remove any access ink.

Stamp the greeting from the A Word for You set (p. 141) onto the upper, left corner of the Swallowtail piece in Island Indigo ink.  Attach the whole piece onto a piece of Basic Black card stock, and then attach it to the Pool Party card base.

Punch out a butterfly from Island Indigo card stock with the Elegant Butterfly Punch (p. 184).  Then stamp the small butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri set (p. 115) onto a scrap piece of Pool Party card stock with Island Indigo ink.  Punch it out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch (p. 13 in Spring Catalog).  Attach the small butterfly onto the bigger one by putting adhesive onto the center of the small butterfly only.  Then attach the layered butterfly onto the bottom, right corner of the Swallowtail piece by putting adhesive onto the center of the butterfly as before.  Last step is to attach a medium-sized rhinestone from the Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack (p. 175) onto the top of the punched butterfly.

Ink:  Pool Party and Island Indigo Classic ink pads

Paper:  Pool Party, Basic Black, Island Indigo, and Whisper White card stock

Accessories:  Heat Tool, White Stampin' Emboss powder, Sponge Daubers, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Elegant Butterfly punch, & Bitty Butterfly punch

  2. I'm so glad you like, it! It is hard to tell, but it is a regular-sized card...4-1/4" x 5-1/2".
