My First "A Round Array" Card

Today's card is one of the cards that will be made at my Fun & Cute Stamp Camp this Friday.  To find out more about this camp, please go to my EVENTS CALENDAR.

I used the new sneak peek stamp set, A Round Array.  It will be a new set in the 2013-2014 Annual Catalog that starts May 31, but you can order it now.  To find out more about this set, please go to my  CURRENT PROMOTIONS PAGE.

I stamped the medallion-type stamp from the set all over a piece of Very Vanilla card stock with Pool Party ink.  I then attached a strip of Comfort Cafe DSP (p. 163) to the bottom of it, wrapped a piece Victoria Crochet Trim (p. 173), and attached the whole thing to the Pool Party card base.  I then tied another piece of Victoria Crochet Trim to the right side of the trim already on the card, using a single knot.

I punched out a Pool Party flower and a Very Vanilla flower using the Blossom Punch (p. 185).  I also punched out a circle from Pool Party card stock using the 1" Circle Punch (p. 184).  I embossed the flowers and the circle with the Square Lattice Impressions Folder (p. 189).  I attached the two flowers together at the center, having the Vanilla flower's petals in-between the Pool Party flower's petals.  I then attached the flower center to the card, over the crochet trim.

I also "smashed" a large Soda Bottle Top (p. 24 in the Spring Catalog).  This is the first time I've done this, and I love the look!  It's run through the Big Shot using no tabs on the platform, and putting the bottle cap between two cutting pads.  Super easy!  Once the bottle cap was smashed, I attached the 1" Pool Party circle from above with Glue Dots (p. 177).  I then stamped the greeting from the A Round Array set onto Very Vanilla card stock in Pool Party ink.  I then punched it out with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch (p. 16 in Spring Catalog), and attached it to the Pool Party Circle with Glue Dots.  The last step is to attach the bottle cap to the center of the flower with Glue Dots.
