Oh, Whale Get Well Card

It's Friday!  I'm at another scrapbooking weekend, and having a ball!  I usually only go to one scrapbooking weekend a year, and this is my third one already this year!  The last one and this one were two weekends in a row!  I just got done prepping for my class for tomorrow, so I'll be scrapping my personal stuff the rest of today and most of tomorrow!  :)  This will be the last one for a little while.  My family is probably beginning to wonder what I look like!  lol

Today's card is one that I made for a class earlier this year.  I CASEd it from a card I received in a swap.  I don't have the card with me right now, so I can't remember if there was a name on it.  I loved the layout she used, and I just changed it up a little bit by using a different DSP and added Daffodil Delight to the color scheme.

I stamped the waves from the Oh, Whale stamp set (p.  29 in Spring Catalog) on the card using Marina Mist and Pacific Point ink onto the right side of a piece of Whisper White card stock.  I then attached a strip of Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP (p. 28) to the left side of the piece.  I attached it to a slightly larger piece of Daffodil Delight, and then attached it all to the Melon Mambo card base.  I die-cut the Melon Mambo scallop circle using the largest scallop circle in the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die (p. 193).  I then die-cut the Marina Mist circle using the 3" Circle Die (p. 193).  I stamped the waves onto the bottom of the circle using Marina Mist ink.  I then embossed the circle above the waves with the Cloudy Day Impressions Folder (p. 28 in Spring Catalog).  I attached the blue circle to the pink scallop circle, and then attached it to the left-side of the card, lining the waves up with the ones on the card.

I stamped the whale onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock in Pacific Point ink, and die-cut it out with the Happy Whale Clearlits die (p. 29)  I then die-cut the water spout, heart, and anchor with the same Happy Whale die.  I attached the heart onto the whale, and then attached it all to the blue circle.  I then attached the water spout above the whale with Multipurpose Glue (p. 177).

I then stamped the greeting from the Oh, Whale! set onto a piece of Whisper White card stock in Melon Mambo ink.  I punched the greeting out with the Modern Label Punch (p. 183), and attached it at an angle under the right, bottom side of the whale.  I then attached the anchor onto it with a little Glue Dot (p. 177) .
