Floral Birthday Card

I hope you're having a great week so far!  Today's card is one of those cards that's quick and easy to make, and also looks pretty at the same time.  I love those kind of cards, don't you?

The flower was stamped in Daffodil Delight with the big flower in the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set (p. 72) and then punched out with the Blossom Punch (p. 185).  The Baja Breeze center is another flower in the stamp set, and it was punched out with the 1" Circle Punch (p. 184).  The Rich Razzleberry center is the same flower that was used for the Baja Breeze flower, but the center of that flower was punched out with the 1/2" Circle Punch (p. 184).  I also punched out a Rich Razzleberry flower with the Blossom Punch for the bottom layer of the flower.  I only put adhesive on the center of the Daffodil Delight flower before putting it onto the Rich Razzleberry flower.

I also embossed the top part of the Whisper White layers with the new Lacy Brocade Impressions Folder from the Holiday Catalog (p. 6).  I die-cut the bottom edge of the middle Rich Razzleberry layer with the Finishing Touches Edgelits dies (p. 190) and put a strip of Floral District DSP (p. 163) on top.  I stamped the greeting in Rich Razzleberry ink to the bottom, center of the Whisper White layer with the Perfectly Penned stamp set (p. 132).  I've been wanting to get this greeting set for awhile now, and finally got it last week.  I can't believe I waited so long to get it.  I love it!

I attached the DSP layer to the Whisper White layer, and then wrapped a piece of Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (p. 173) to the top of the DSP layer, and tied it into a bow.  I then attached the flower, putting ahesive on each of the Rich Razzleberry petals.  Then, I bent the petals of the Daffodil Delight flower up to give it dimension.

Stamps:  Betsy's Blossoms and Perfectly Penned sets

Ink:  Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, and Baja Breeze Classic ink pads

Paper:  Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White card stock; Floral District DSP

Accessories:  Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Finishing Touches Edgelits, Lacy Brocade Impressions Folder, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Blossom Punch, 1" Circle Punch, & 1/2" Circle Punch.
