Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far. This is going to be a busy weekend for me, but it should be a good one. My son is in high school marching band, and they played yesterday at the Indiana State Fair (almost made it into the finals...needed to be in the top 16 out of 49 bands, and they were 17th! Missed it my .35 of a point!). They did get to play again in the evening, since they made it in 17th place though. They're also playing tonight for a football game and tomorrow for out local Old Settler's Parade. Then, I spend 3-1/2 hours selling elephant ears at the Old Settler's Fair to raise money for the band. This is the first summer of being a "band parent", and it's pretty busy sometimes! Well, enough of that. Now, back to stamping.
Today, I've made a card with my new "Word Play" set. This is one of the sets I earned free from my SAB sales. I love getting free stamp sets! Being a demo is the best! If you look closely at the saying, you'll see that I put a little rhinestone on the ring to make it sparkle like a diamond ring. I'm so glad that Stampin' Up! has rhinestones now. They already have the adhesive on them, so they're really easy to use. There are 50 each of 3 different sizes for only $4.95. They're called Basic Rhinestones, and they're on p. 188 of the catalog.
