The FIRST CARD I made for the class was geared for beginner crafters, the SECOND CARD was geared for casual crafters, and the last card for the class is geared for avid crafters. It's not a hard card to make, but it does have a lot of layers to it.
The mountains, trees, and bushes were all die-cut with the dies in the bundle. The die-cuts looked fine just die-cutting out of the cardstock, but I wanted them to look even better. After die-cutting them out, I brushed ink all over them with Blending Brushes. The Gray Granite mountains got Gray Granite ink, the Mossy Meadow tree line & trees got Mossy Meadow ink, and the Old Olive bushes got Old Olive ink. I love doing this to die-cuts...it gives them more depth and makes them look great!
As you can see, this card didn't get any DSP either...there just wasn't room! I wanted to have the mountain scene be behind a frame, so I made a frame using the new Sentimental Framing Dies. Isn't that frame gorgeous?! After I got the card done, I realized it kinda looked like a shadow box...just not as thick. I had someone say during the Live (see video above) that this card would make a great diorama card, and I TOTALLY agree!
See that cloud behind the mountains? I stamped it onto the Pool party card base using Pool Party ink before adding the die-cuts. You can see exactly how I did it in the video above under the "Making the Last Card" chapter of the video.
I finished off the card by adding a large Pressed Flower Motifs embellishment (they come in two sizes) onto both top corners of the frame and one on the bottom, left corner. I didn't put one on the bottom corner of the frame since it's covered up with the sentiment strip.
The Free Card Kits for This Class Include Enough
of the Pressed Flower Motifs to Make the Cards
I kept the inside of the card simple by just stamping one of the tree stamps twice onto the bottom, left corner of the Very Vanilla inside layer using Mossy Meadow ink.
I have a list of supplies you'll need to make the cards in the class (ink pads, adhesive, etc), and you can see it by CLICKING HERE. You can substitute with products you have on hand, too. You can see what comes in the class's card kits in the video above.
