Paper Pumpkin Alternatives - July 2021 The Adventure Begins Kit

Are you ready for some Paper Pumpkin Alternatives? The actual cards for the kit were already wonderful (they're trifold cards), but I wanted to make sure you had some other card ideas with the kit, too.

Every month, I come up with at least 3 alternative projects for that month's Paper Pumpkin Kit, and I was able to make this month's alternatives yesterday. July's kit is called "The Great Adventure", and it's perfect for those that love camping or anything pertaining to the great outdoors!

The refill for this kit isn't available yet, but I'll come back and post the link to it as soon as it is. Don't forget...the refills are only available to current Paper Pumpkin Subscribers, and they're only available while supplies last

You can see everything that came in the June Kit above. The refill will include everything pictured, except for the stamp set and the Garden Green Stampin' Spot (ink pad).

Here's the first alternative card I made. The camper comes from one of the card bases in the kit. There's only one thing you need that isn't in the kit for this one, and that's the card base:

  • Misty Moonlight CS:  4-1/4" x 11"

If You Want to Learn How to Make This Card, and the Following Two Cards, Watch the Video Below.

My second alternative features the neat lantern off of one of the card bases in the kit. I really like the lantern, and I especially like it with the added bow.

Where did I get that ribbon, you might ask? It's a sneak peek of some wonderful ribbon in the upcoming July - August 2021 Mini Catalog, and it's called Black & White Gingham Ribbon. It's actually in the Halloween suite, Cute Halloween, and it'll be available beginning August 2

  • Bermuda Bay CS:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2"
  • Crushed Curry CS:  2-1/2" x 2-1/2"
  • Black & White Gingham Ribbon:  8"

This card does not use anything in the kit, except for the stamp set and a leftover scrap where I stamped the tree. If you don't have the scrap I use (shown in the video below), you can use Basic White Cardstock. As you see, I used the gingham ribbon again and another sneak peek product, the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Here's the list paper & ribbon needed.

  • Merry Merlot CS:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2"
    • 3" x 4-1/4"
  • Cinnamon Cider:  4" x 5-1/4"
  • Basic White:  2-3/4" x 1/2"
    • 2-1/2" x 3" (if scrap from kit isn't used)
  • Beauty of the Earth DSP:  2-7/8" x 4-1/8" (sky)
    • 2-7/8" x 1" (grass)
  • Black & White Gingham Ribbon:  (2) 4"
