Short & Sweet Saturday - Heartland Birthday Card

I finally have a Short & Sweet Saturday card to share with you! I'm still not in my office, but I think my hubby will have the floor finished in there by the end of this weekend! 😍 So, I think things will start getting back to normal very soon! It's going to be so nice to know where things are again. Right now, it's spread out between three different rooms! LoL It's been a long month and a half!

This is one of the card designs for my Birthday Mini Stamp-A-Stack this Thursday. I wanted to make sure that one of the designs was a masculine one, and I really like how it turned out. I love that barn!

Dimensions:
  • Early Espresso:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (card base)
  • Soft Suede:  5-1/4" x 4" (embossed layer)
  • Very Vanilla:  4-3/4" x 3-1/2" (barn layer) and 3" x 1" (greeting)
  • Burlap Ribbon:  3"

Instructions:
  1. Die-cut the center of the Soft Suede piece with the largest oval die from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. Emboss the piece by running it through the Big Shot with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
  2. Stamp the barn stamp from the Heartland Stamp Set using the Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad. Sponge ink from the Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad all over the barn piece using Stamping Sponges. With the barn image facing up, put a Stampin' Dimensional onto each corner of the piece. Centering the barn inside the oval opening in the embossed piece, attach it to the underside of the embossed piece.
  3. Fold the Early Espresso piece in half (fold on the top) to form the card base. Put SNAIL Adhesive onto the back of the Very Vanilla barn piece, and attach it to the center of the card front.
  4. Stamp the "Happy Birthday" stamp from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set onto the smallest Very Vanilla piece using the Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad. Trim the left side of the piece at an angle using Paper Snips (see picture to see angle). Lining the right edge of the Burlap Ribbon with the right edge of the greeting piece, attach the top half of the ribbon to the back, bottom of the greeting piece. Trim the Burlap Ribbon at the same angle as the greeting piece, keeping it a little longer than the greeting piece. Attach the greeting to the bottom, right corner of the card base, lining the right edge of the greeting with the right edge of the embossed layer.

Use SNAIL Adhesive when attaching, unless stated otherwise.
