Sneak Peek and Some Mojo

Boy, has this been a week for me!  I was at the Monrovia Elementary Craft & Vendor Fair on Saturday, and it was a good one.  One bad thing is that I messed up my back!  I think I did it when I was lugging my tables in and back out.  The next morning, I went to get a tissue, and felt something pop in my back and instant pain.  I made it through church okay, but began getting worse as the day went on.  Monday morning, I was a little better, so I just took it easy.  By Monday night, it was hurting worse than ever.  Then around 3 a.m. Tuesday, I tried to get out of bed, and that was a big mistake.  I did get out, but then I couldn't straighten back up or even lay back down again.  I was crying and yelling in pain, and scared my whole family awake, including our daughters who are 2 stories above us!  I don't think I've ever been in that much pain before.  My wonderful hubby helped me, and then took Tuesday off work to get me to the doctor.  I really thought my hip was out of joint.  I did find out that I've got Sciatica.  My sciatic nerve has been pinched, and that's why my hip isn't working and hurts so much.  I'm taking steroids to get the swelling down and a muscle relaxer at night to be able to sleep.  I'm still having problems with pain, but it's not even close to what it was.  I'm actually able to get around the house all by myself.  It still hurts if I sit in one place too long, so I haven't been able to stamp as much as I would like.  Well, enough about my week.  Let's get back to stamping!

I made today's card on Monday, but was in too much pain to post it until now.  I used this week's MojoMonday 233 sketch.  A picture of the sketch is above, and my card is below.  I also used some sneak peek products that will be in the upcoming annual catalog, June 1st.  Not only that, they'll also be available to purchase early during the month of April.

The new products are from a new Stampin' Up! suite called "Summer Smooches."  I'm in love with everything in this suite.  The stamp set is called Bright Blossoms.  The coordinating designer paper that I also used is called Summer Smooches DSP, and the coordinating ribbon is Daffodil 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon.  The other product that I used in this suite is called Summer Smooches Fabric Designer Brads.  The bad news on this product is that it's NOT going to be in the new annual catalog.  You can only purchase these cute brads during the month of April, so be sure to order them then.  I really like the color combo in this collection, as well.  The colors are Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo, Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade, and Tangerine Tango.  With so many colors, the possibilities are endless!

The greeting came from a current stamp set that is in the current annual catalog called Petite Pairs (p. 164).  The Tangerine Tango strip edge was punched out with the Scallop Edge Border Punch (p. 211), and the whole strip was embossed with the Finial Pressed Impressions Folder (p. 219).
