My Dad's Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  Today's card shows off the great Plane & Simple set (p. 40 in the Occasions Mini).  I made this card for my Dad for his birthday last Sunday.  I really like how it turned out (and so did he).

I stamped the goggles all over the Cherry Cobbler base with Cherry Cobbler ink.  The strip of diamond shapes was stamped and then cut out.  The two textured pieces were embossed with the Square Lattice Impressions Folder (p. 214).  I made the tag myself.  If you have trouble getting the two angles on a tag even, CLICK HERE to see how to do it.  I love how the Antique Brad (p. 187) looks on the tag, and the little brads from the Vintage Trinkets pack (p. 187) on the bottom of the card.  Accessories really make any project look so much better.

I even decorated the inside of the card a little bit.  Decorating the inside of a card really makes the card extra special.

Plane & Simple and Bring on the Cake (both from the Mini)
