Fall Birthday

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you're all having a great day! It's a little cool here in Central Indiana, but I'm not complaining. It's nice to have it feel like it should in October...like Fall!

My son's 15th birthday was last Wednesday, and this is the card that I made for him. Can you tell that I love this set yet? I've been using it a lot as you can see in past posts! I just adore these leaves! This is a super easy card to make. You can probably tell what I did by just looking at it, but here are a few things that might be hard to see in the picture.

I first ran the card front through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Impressions Folder (p.214), and then started stamping. The spatter look on the leaf strip was made with the Log Cabin Smooch Spritz (p. 195). I sprayed it on before I stamped the leaves. I also tore the long right side of the card stock and sponged Cajun Craze ink all around the piece. I then attached it to a piece of Soft Suede card stock and tore the long right side of it. I sponged the torn edge with Soft Suede ink. The little button-like brads on the left are from the Vintage Trinkets pack (p. 187).

How do you like the leaf behind the greeting? It looked too plain without it. I first stamped it on scrap paper and then onto the card stock to get a faint image of the leaf. Then, I stamped the greeting using Soft Suede ink. The greeting piece is also attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (p. 197) to raise it up.
