Snowflake Showcase Countdown - Rustic Snowflake

Through Friday, I'm going to be sharing projects made with the beautiful Snowflake Showcase Products. I LOVE these products, and I want to make as many projects with them as I can! They'll only be available until THIS Friday, November 30, 2018 or while supplies last...whichever comes first. The White Velvet Paper has already sold out!

You Can See the Snowflake Showcase Items That Are Still Available by Clicking Here.

Today's card features the Snow is Glistening Stamp Set, Snowfall Thinlits Dies, and Snowflake Trinkets from the Snowflake Showcase. I wanted to make a rustic Christmas card to show a different look that you can get with these products! I also used the Buffalo Check Stamp Set and Merry Christmas to All Bundle from the Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalog. The bundle includes the Merry Christmas to All Stamp Set and Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies. Purchasing these two items as a bundle will save you 10%! The Merry Christmas Thinlits are on backorder right now, but they plan on getting a shipment of them sometime next week. You can order them now, though. That way, you'll be on the list to get them as soon as they come in. If you look closely at the pictures, you can see that I die-cut the "Merry" die-cut out of a piece of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. The wood-grain in the die-cut looks great!

I used the Galvanized Metallic Paper when die-cutting the large snowflake. I LOVE how it looks with the Buffalo Check stamp and this color combo! I also added a strip of 5/8" Striped Burlap Ribbon across the card. Both of these items are in the Holiday Catalog, as well.

Dimensions:
  • Cherry Cobbler:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Early Espresso:  3-5/8" x 4-7/8" (base layer)
  • Crumb Cake:  3-1/2" x 4-1/2" (Buffalo Check Layer)
  • Very Vanilla:  4-1/2" x 1-3/4" (small snowflake & Christmas label)
  • Galvanized Metallic Paper:  4" x 3-3/4" (large snowflake)
  • Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP):  4" x 2" (Merry die-cut)
  • Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets:  4" x 2" (for Merry die-cut)
  • 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim:  4-1/2"
  • Snowflake Trinkets:  1 snowflake
Instructions:
  1. Stamp the about lower two-thirds of the Crumb Cake piece with the Buffalo Check Stamp Set using the Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Pad. Attach the piece to the center of the Early Espresso piece. Fold the Cherry Cobbler piece in half (fold on the left) to form the card base. Attach the Buffalo Check/Early Espresso piece to the center of the card front. Trim the ends of the 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim at an angle, making it about 4-1/4" long at the longest points. Put SNAIL Adhesive along the top of the Buffalo Check image, and attach the burlap trim across it, centering it between both sides of the card base.
  2. Die-cut a snowflake out of the Galvanized Metallic Paper using the largest snowflake die in the Snowfall Thinlits Dies. Stamp the largest snowflake stamp from the Snow is Glistening Stamp Set onto one side of the Very Vanilla piece using the Cherry Cobbler ink pad. Die-cut the snowflake out with its coordinating die. Attach the stamped snowflake onto the center of the large snowflake. Put SNAIL Adhesive all over the back of the center section of the large snowflake, and attach it to the top, center of the card. Attach a snowflake from the Snowflake Trinkets to the center of the stamped snowflake using a Mini Glue Dot.
  3. Remove the printed paper backing from the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet, and attach the Wood Textures DSP piece to it. Die-cut the "Merry" die from the Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies out of it. Stamp the frame stamp from the Merry Christmas to All Stamp Set onto the other end of the Very Vanilla piece using the Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the printed "Christmas" stamp into the center of the frame using the Cherry Cobbler ink pad. Die-cut the frame out with the coordinating die. Attach the "Christmas" label to the bottom left of the Buffalo Check layer, making it hang off the bottom edge of it a little bit. Remove the paper backing from the "Merry" die-cut, and attach it to the card, below the snowflake, and above the "Christmas" label.
Use SNAIL Adhesive when attaching, unless stated otherwise.
