Stitched All Around - Petal Promenade DSP

Happy Friday, everyone! Are you ready for the weekend? I'm sure you are! LoL Well, I have a card to share with you today. I was at Susan Smith's (fellow demonstrator) house a few days ago, and she had us make the card below, and it features the beautiful Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (DSP). I LOVE how she had us stamp the large flower from the Healing Hugs Stamp Set onto the circle die-cut, and then stamp the greeting on top. It really is pretty!

I'm doing a DSP Stamp Camp in a couple weeks at my house, and I wanted to CASE her card for my camp. I thought about using the exact card I made at her house, but I used this particular paper design from the DSP pack on my July Host Code Thank You Card. I wanted to be able to show you all a different paper design from this DSP pack, so I changed it up a bit. I decided to decorate the inside of the card, too. I used the Stitched All Around Stamp Set, which can be purchased together with the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies as a bundle at 10% off.

FYI:  This beautiful DSP is one of the DSP packs that is a part of the Buy 3, Get 1 FREE DSP Sale. CLICK HERE to find out more!

As you can see, we both used the Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon on our cards, and you can get this ribbon FREE from me with a qualifying order in July using this month's host code. CLICK HERE to find out how.

Dimensions:

  • Fresh Fig:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base) & 4" x 1/2" (strip)
  • Blushing Bride:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer)
  • Tranquil Tide:  2" x 2" (circle die-cut)
  • Whisper White:  2-1/2" x 1-3/4" (scallop circle) & 4" x 5-1/4" (inside)
  • Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (DSP):  2" x 5-1/4"
  • Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon:  8"
  • Rose Metallic Thread: Enough to wrap around hand four times

Instructions:

  1. Emboss the Blushing Bride piece by running it through the Big Shot with the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Attach the DSP piece to the left side of the piece. Lay the cross-stitch border die from the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies across the Fresh Fig strip, lining the long edge of the die without the cross-stitch with one of the long edges of the cardstock strip. Run it through the Big Shot. Do the same thing with the other long side of the strip. Attach it across the bottom half of the piece (see pictures). Fold the Fresh Fig card base piece in half (fold on the left) to form the card base. Attach the embossed/DSP piece to the center of the card front.
  2. Stamp the "thank you" stamp from the Stitched All Around Stamp Set onto one side of the Whisper White scallop circle piece using the Fresh Fig Classic Stampin' Pad. Punch it out with the 1-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch. Die-cut a circle out of the Tranquil Tide piece using the largest circle die from the same die set as above. Attach the scallop circle to the center of the Tranquil Tide circle.
  3. Put some SNAIL Adhesive onto the back of the Tranquil Tide circle. Fold the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon in half, and attach it to the back of the circle. The "loop" fold of the ribbon should be on the top, right, and the two ends should be on the bottom, left (separate the ends a bit). Trim the ribbon ends at an angle. Wrap the Rose Metallic Thread around your hand four times, cut, and slip it off of your hand when finished. Attach the center of the thread loops to the back of the circle by putting a Stampin' Dimensional over it. There should be thread loops on each side of the circle, like the tulle ribbon. Add two more Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the circle, and attach it to the right side of the DSP, over the cross-stitched strip (see pictures).
  4. Inside of card:  Stamp the cross-stitch stamp a few times across the bottom of the largest Whisper White piece using the Blushing Bride Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the vine border stamp across the top of the cross-stitch using the Tranquil Tide Classic Stampin' Pad. Attach the piece to the inside of the card (see bottom picture).

Use SNAIL Adhesive when attaching, unless stated otherwise.
