Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you all had a great week. Today, I'm sharing a card I made for one of my best friends' daughter. She's expecting her first baby this Fall, and her baby shower was this past weekend. Of course, I had to use the wonderful Wonderful Moments Stamp Set. The images in this set are so beautiful! I also used one of my favorite new die sets, Stitched Labels Framelits. The beautiful border along the top of the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper was made with one of the dies from the Delicate Lace Edgelits Dies. It's hard to tell in the pictures, but I used the Sparkle Glimmer Paper for the lace die-cut border. It's so pretty in person! I also used Shimmery White Cardstock on the main image piece.
Dimensions:
- Grapefruit Grove: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
- Mint Macaron: 4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer)
- Shimmery White: 3" x 3-3/4" (main image)
- Whisper White: 3-1/4" x 1-1/4" (greeting) & 4" x 5-1/4" (inside)
- Share What You Love Designer Series Paper (DSP): 4" x 2"
- Sparkle Glimmer Paper: 4" x 1-1/2" (lace border die-cut)
- Grapefruit Grove 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon: 6" (strip) & 8" (bow)
- Silver & Whisper White Baker's Twine: 4"
Instructions:
- Emboss the top portion of the Mint Macaron piece by running it through the Big Shot with the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Die-cut the floral-like border die from the Delicate Lace Edgelits Dies out of the Sparkle Glimmer Paper. Attach the straight, long edge of the die-cut to the back of the long, top edge of the DSP piece. Only the lacy part of the die-cut should show from the front of the DSP. Attach the DSP piece to the bottom of the embossed layer. Wrap the 6" Grapefruit Grove 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon around the top of the DSP, and attach the ribbon ends to the back of the embossed layer.
- Fold the Grapefruit Grove piece in half (fold on the left) to form the card base. Attach the embossed/DSP piece to the middle of the card front.
- Die-cut largest label die from the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies out of the Shimmery White Cardstock. Stamp the pregnant woman stamp from the Wonderful Moments Stamp Set onto the bottom, center of the piece using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Color the hair in with the Bronze Stampin' Blends Marker. Color over the areas that need to be darker again. Lighten some of the hair using the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends Marker. Color her skin with the Ivory Stampin' Blends Marker. Color her dress in with the Light Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends Marker. Color the areas that need to be darker with the Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends Marker. Attach the piece to the left side of the card (see left picture), using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Die-cut the second, largest label die from the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies out of the small Whisper White piece. Stamp the "Looking forward..." stamp onto the center of the label using the Memento Pad. Attach the label to the bottom, right corner of the DSP layer. Thread the Baker's Twine piece through the holes in a small Grapefruit Grove button from the Tinted Faceted Buttons, and tie it into a double-knot. Trim the twine ends, and attach it to the left side of the greeting label using Mini Glue Dots.
- Tie the last piece of ribbon into a bow, and attach it to the right side of the attached ribbon using a Mini Glue Dot
- Inside of card: Stamp the pregnant woman stamp onto the bottom, left corner of the largest Whisper White piece using the Memento Pad. Color the hair and her skin the same as before. Stamp the "Dream Come True" stamp next to the woman using the same ink pad. Attach it to the inside of the card.
*Use SNAIL Adhesive when attaching, unless stated otherwise.
