Carols of Christmas Sneak Peek Card

Here's my first Christmas card of the year! I used the new stamp set, Carols of Christmas, along with its coordinating die set, Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies. These are going to be in the upcoming Holiday Catalog that will be out on September 1. They'll also be available as a bundle at 10% off.

You can get your hands on this stamp set FREE this month, if you sign-up to become an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator during the Christmas in July promotion, which ends on July 31. It is being included free in July starter kits, along with an Essentials Gift Pack. This gift pack includes two "D" blocks, Grid Paper, Paper Snips, SNAIL Adhesive, & Bone Folder. You can also pick the Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies as part of your starter kit! It's a great deal! Click the "Christmas in July" picture towards the bottom of this post to find out more. I'd love to have you join my Stampin' Up! Family!

You'll also get a chance to purchase this stamp set and die set in August! You'll have the choice of purchasing the stamp set or die set separately, or purchase them together in the bundle @ 10% off. If you earn a coupon this month, you can use them when purchasing them, too!

What coupons, you ask? They're called Bonus Days coupons. With every $50 placed on an order (before shipping & tax) during July, you'll earn a $5 coupon that will be redeemable in August! A $50 order gets one $5 coupon, a $100 order gets two $5 coupons, and so on. You'll need to hurry, this promo ends on July 31!

Don't forget about my thank you gift this month, too! If you place a $40 order (before shipping & tax) AND use the Host Code CKBWGMHY by July 30, you'll get my thank you gift. Click the "My July Special' picture below the supply list to find out more!

Dimensions:
  • Cherry Cobbler:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base) & 3-1/2" x 3-1/2"  (scallop circle)
  • Garden Green:  2-1/4" x 2-1/4" (trees)
  • Whisper White:  4" x 5-1/4" (base layer), 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" (stitched circle), & 4-1/4" x 1" (deer, holly, & poinsettia)
  • 5/8" Burlap Ribbon:  4-1/4"
  • Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon:  4-1/4"
Instructions:
  1. Fold the Cherry Cobbler card base in half to form a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card.
  2. Stamp the Sheet Music Background Stamp onto the top of the Whisper White base layer using the Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad. Sponge all over the piece using a Stamping Sponge and the Soft Suede ink pad. Die-cut the three sides of the top half of the piece using the three, sided border die from the Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies. Turn the die around, and put the double-dot ends of the die into the dot ends of the die-cut in the cardstock, and die-cut the bottom half of the piece, making a die-cut border all around the piece. Attach the piece to the card base.
  3. Trim the ends of both pieces of ribbon at an angle. All of the ends should be cut at the same angle. Attach the Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon across the center of the 5/8" Burlap Ribbon using SNAIL Adhesive. Attach the ribbon across the top part of the card, about a 1/2" above the dots in the die-cut border.
  4. Ink the word "Peace" in the "Peace on Earth" stamp from the Carols of Christmas Stamp Set with the Cherry Cobbler marker from the Regals Stampin' Write Markers. Ink the center part of the stamp (lines & "on") with the Soft Suede marker from the Neutrals Stampin' Write Markers. Then, ink the word "earth" with the Garden Green marker from the Regals Stampin' Write Markers. Huff on the stamp to re-moisten it, and then stamp it onto the center of the Whisper White stitched circle piece. Die-cut the greeting out with the largest circle die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. Die-cut a scallop circle from the Cherry Cobbler scallop circle piece using the largest scallop circle die from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. Attach the greeting circle to the center of the scallop circle.
  5. Stamp the deer stamp onto the smallest Whisper White piece using the Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad. Ink the berries in the holly stamp with the Cherry Cobbler marker and the leaves with the Garden Green marker. Stamp it next to the deer. Ink the  poinsettia stamp with the Cherry Cobbler marker, and stamp it next. Then, ink the triple-leaf stamp with the Garden Green marker, and stamp it next. Die-cut each image out with their coordinating dies.
  6. Attach the leaves to the back of the poinsettia using Mini Glue Dots. Then, attach it to the top, right of the greeting circle with Mini Glue Dots. Attach the holly onto the top, left corner of the "E" in Earth using  Mini Glue Dot. Then, attach the whole thing on top of ribbon on the card using four Stampin' Dimensionals. See picture for placement.
  7. Die-cut trees from the Garden Green piece using the double-tree die. Attach the deer to the center part of the trees using a Mini Glue Dot. Attach the trees to the right, bottom corner of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. The top of the left tree should be on the greeting circle. See the picture for placement.

Note:  If you're looking at this before August 1, the Carols of Christmas bundle is not included in the supplies list below. I'll add it once it's available to purchase on August 1.
